I am using the Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview builds. I have Build 15031 working. The release #15042, released 2/224/2017, attempted to install and would hang when it got to 72%.
I gave it a try a couple of times. Would not install for me. Thank God Windows was smart enough to restore my previous version of 15031.
I found an interesting story on BetaNews.Com. The story is about a Windows 10 Creators update that gives Windows 10 a new System Reset option.
If I had know about it a couple of days ago I could have tried it and it might have saved me a LOT of work.
Over time, Windows can become sluggish, and beset with problems. A good system clean might be enough to keep you going a while longer, but not always. Worse, if you get hit with malware — ransomware in particular — or encounter major hardware problems, your only option might be to reinstall Windows.
Windows 10 offers users two choices here — go into Settings > Update & recovery > Recovery. Click the Get started button under Reset this PC and you’ll have the option to keep your files (removes apps and settings only) or remove everything (a total fresh start). However, in the Creators Update there’s going to be a new option.
A friend/fan of Howard’s Notebook since me enough money to buy a Windows 10 Professional OEM Key. I got it from Kinguin again. The key worked.
I now have Windows 10 Professional running on my newest main computer. So I have Windows 10 on both computers. Both installs are new. So both computers are running great.
I think this is the first time that I had Window Pro on a computer. I have not checked out the extras that it gives me yet.

I formatted the hard drive on my main computer, the one in my bedroom, and I put a clean fresh Windows 10 on it.
The computer booted so fast and I could go to web sites so fast … It was working great. I was looking forward to using Windows 10 and started to install programs that I had paid for …
Then I found out that Microsoft did not accept my Windows code. They said I needed to buy Windows 10. They sent me to a site where I could get a key for $199.00 if I remember correct.
Wow Windows worked great for a few hours.
So I formatted and I just installed UbuntuStudio.
Later I will install Zorin 11 so that I can boot into UbuntuStudio or Zorin 11.
Well I know what I will be doing all day today.
Windows 10 has been working so slow for me … It has just been a pain in the ass. So I decided to just format and start all over again. No I did not have it save my files and re-install .. I just trashed it all.
So now I am back … Windows is so much faster. So far I have Firefox installed and all my bookmarks and start pages setup. I installed LastPass and I got the NVidia GTX 750 driver installed. I got the Audiobox driver installed.
But a lot of software is not installed; NCH, Logitech utility for G502 and G710+, Debute Video Capture Software, Movavi Video Suite 16 and lots more software not installed.
But there is a lot of trash off my hard drive. One thing that took a problem for me was when I was doing Amazon reviews. I would install something and a driver for it and review the item and a bunch of that trash was on my hard drive and in Windows someplace.
Firebox is working so fast right now.
I hope I can keep Windows from slowing down.. but I do not think you can… It is the way Windows works.

A lot of people had problems with Windows 10 patch KB 3189866. It would get stuck and not install the update.
I think Microsoft fixed the problem because I just got the update without a problem.
Like I said Microsoft has fixed the problem. But if you are still having problems you can check out InfoWorld.
