About 0800 hours I took Dar’s mail to the mailbox. It is about two blocks away. I put the mail in the box. Then I went to the curb and stepped off the curb. It was more of a step than I was expecting and fell into the street. I was on all fours.
Traffic was stopped at a red light. Thank God for that.
I got back on my feet and got back on the sidewalk.
I fell into the street. It sucks getting old.
I did some damage to my legs and my pants.
I saw a doctor the other day about my skin cancer. He told me about it and the options and asked what treatment I wanted. I like the doctor a great deal. I am glad my doctor recommend him.
May 17 (2017) I will go in and have the basal cell carcinoma removed.
I am going to have what is called “Mohs Surgery.”
Mohs surgery, developed in 1938 by a general surgeon, Frederic E. Mohs, is microscopically controlled surgery used to treat common types of skin cancer. During the surgery, after each removal of tissue and while the patient waits, the tissue is examined for cancer cells. That examination informs the decision for additional tissue removal. Mohs surgery is one of the many methods of obtaining complete margin control during removal of a skin cancer (CCPDMA – complete circumferential peripheral and deep margin assessment) using frozen sectionhistology.CCPDMA or Mohs surgery allows for the removal of a skin cancer with very narrow surgical margin and a high cure rate.
I do not plan to blog about the surgery as it happens or even take photos or video.
I suspect you will see me with a hat on from now on.
I have been playing around with the Chromebox today. Nice little computer for $200.00 and you can get it often for $150.00 if you watch. I have the 4GB box. I think I will add memory to take it to 8 GB. Not sure you need that much memory but it is easy and cost very little.

The photo above I just took and you do not see my second monitor next to the other monitor.
Yesterday I also messed around with the Samsung Chromebook Plus. I paid $5.00 for Artrage. Great drawing app. I enjoy the touch screen and using it as a tablet. But now I think I would be happy to just have an Android tablet.
I tried to get Hilary the Chromebook Plus but she would not take it.
Hilary got her driver’s license today. She got it after she got beaten and was taken to the ER. So in her photo on the license, she has two black eyes.
I am using the browser, Vivaldi, again. I love it. I will see how it works out for me.
It is 0130 hours and Darlene, Hilary and Jimmy are sleeping. Both cats are sleeping. I do not see the cat in this room. He must be in the window looking outside. I am going to bed soon and he will then get on my desk and knock something over and walk on the printer keypad.
I have been moving everything around in my room. The photo below was taken just a few minutes ago.

My room does not look too bad in the photo above. But there is a ton of stuff not showing up in the photo that I need to try and find space to put away.
Also I am 76 years old and the older I get the more distance I need to put between me and the camera.
If you been following the news you know that there is a boycott by companies of YouTube. The companies are pulling advertising from YouTube. It is hurting YouTube and it is hurting those that do YouTube videos.
Some people that make YouTube videos are having their income down by over half. Some YouTube sites are going to be hurt big time.
It is not going to effect me. I make about $25.00 a month from YouTube. What I make from YouTube has gone from $25.00 a month to $18.50 a month.
I enjoy making videos. I have, right now, 730 videos on YouTube. I have 2,123 subscribers and have had 1,045,385 views. So I will keep on making YouTube videos. There are some YouTube sites that have studios and a large staff of employees. They could be hurt and some are saying that they may have to shut down.
I will make a YouTube video soon. I will update you on what is going on around here .. as much as I can .. My family does not want to be in my videos and do not want to be mentioned .. Makes it hard to be a personal blog ..
Right now .. Hilary is staying here .. she has a sick cat that she is having treated by a vet. It has to stay in my room with the door closed so the other cat here, DD, does not get what he has …
A lot going on here …
I will tell you what I can ..
I got to get ready right now .. we got an AmazonPrime order due here soon.
OH good the cat has moved from in front of my door now and I can get out of my cell.
About a month ago Hilary got a used car. She paid $2K for it. It would not start unless she ran it each day. There are major blood stains in the front seat by the driver’s seat though she was told it was not wrecked and a little old lady was the prior car owner. I could add to the list.
Because she had been in Sweden for ten years and had no DL she had to pay 800.00, in advance, for one year of auto insurance. Later they told her the price quote was wrong and she owed another 80.00.
Hilary passed her DL exam until a few days ago. Before she got her DL her car was stolen two times from the parking lot of the apartment in Irvin (TX). The car was stolen by the same people both times. One of the guys visits a guy that lives in the apartment across from Russ’s apartment. Hilary is now stuck paying for an apartment that she can not even safely keep her car park at.
Hilary has been here helping us move but soon she will be going back to Russ’s apartment. I am sure she is going to have problems with the guys that took her car.
The first time they took her car they asked if they could test drive it by going around the block. They took the car and never came back with it. She filled out a police report and the police found it a few days later a few blocks away from the apartments. She had it towed back for 108.00 … They then took the car again the next day.
Hilary made police reports both times. The second time the Dallas police found the car and towed it to Auto Impound in Dallas. Hilary had to pay 190.00 to get the car out of impound a few days later. 120.00 of it was for them towing the car yet nobody called Hilary until after it was towed to the lot later that day. Hilary saw other people that had stolen cars to pick up and had to pay to get them back.
Below is Hilary’s car. This photo was taken the other day after she had repair work done on the car. She also had to have a new windshield put on the car.
Stolen two times in less than a week!
I got the lab work on my biopsy. I had a Seborrheic Keratosis removed from left shoulder. It was large. The biopsy was not cancer.
Seborrheic keratosis (seb-o-REE-ik ker-uh-TOE-sis) is one of the most common noncancerous skin growths in older adults.
A seborrheic keratosis usually appears as a brown, black or light tan growth on the face, chest, shoulders or back. The growth has a waxy, scaly, slightly elevated appearance. Seborrheic keratoses don’t become cancerous and aren’t thought to be related to sun exposure, but they can look like skin cancer.
Seborrheic keratoses are normally painless and require no treatment. You may decide to have them removed if they become irritated by clothing or for cosmetic reasons. Mayo Clinic
I also had a lesion on top of my head. A biopsy of it came back as “Basal Cell Carcinoma.”
Basal cell carcinoma is a type of skin cancer. Basal cell carcinoma begins in the basal cells — a type of cell within the skin that produces new skin cells as old ones die off.
Basal cell carcinoma often appears as a slightly transparent bump on the skin, though it can take other forms. Basal cell carcinoma occurs most often on areas of the skin that are exposed to the sun, such as your head and neck.
Most basal cell carcinomas are thought to be caused by long-term exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation from sunlight. Avoiding the sun and using sunscreen may help protect against basal cell carcinoma. Mayo Clinic
My doctor is arranging for me to see a surgeon (Dermatologist).

I just got Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 15055 on my computer.
Windows 10 is working for me. But I think I would just like to get a new touch screen Chromebook that does Android apps and just give up Windows.
I am going to 76 years of age this month. I just want things to be simple now .. I can give up game playing and a few other things .. I just want to surf the web, do my email and a few other simple things.
I just heard from my doctor’s office. The lab results are back and the place on top of my head is a Basal cell carcinoma. They are going to get me an appointment with a Dermatology doctor in Fort Worth.
Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States. The two most common types are basal cell cancer and squamous cell cancer. They usually form on the head, face, neck, hands, and arms. Another type of skin cancer, melanoma, is more dangerous but less common.
Anyone can get skin cancer, but it is more common in people who
- Spend a lot of time in the sun or have been sunburned
- Have light-colored skin, hair, and eyes
- Have a family member with skin cancer
- Are over age 50
You should have your doctor check any suspicious skin markings and any changes in the way your skin looks. Treatment is more likely to work well when cancer is found early. If not treated, some types of skin cancer cells can spread to other tissues and organs. Treatments include surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, photodynamic therapy (PDT), and biologic therapy. PDT uses a drug and a type of laser light to kill cancer cells. Biologic therapy boosts your body’s own ability to fight cancer. ICD-List Diagnosis Code
I just wait now for the doctor’s office to inform me of my appointment date. I was told that it might be five or six weeks before my appointment.
At last, I got a few hours of sleep. The cold has prevented me from getting any sleep for the last few days. I just got a few hours of sleep and it is 6 AM. Now that I am up .. I think I might be a little better.
My nose has been running non-stop for days. Plus I had other problems.
I attempted other say of sleeping ..none of them worked.
I been up for a few minutes and hope I am on the road to normal.
There are no OTC medications that someone with my medical conditions should take. Hilary did searching on the web and could not find anything for me to take.
I could not stand it any longer and asked her to go and get me Contact. She came home with Contac and Coricidin.
