“Prof Robert E Kelly has returned to BBC News to talk about his unexpected viral fame last week when his children crashed his live TV interview to the amusement of millions of people who later watched the clip. Prof Kelly, an expert on South Korea, was joined in the follow-up video with his wife, Jung-a Kim and children Marion and James.”
He confirmed to the BBC’s James Menendez that he was, despite online speculation, wearing trousers during the interview.
I got the lab work on my biopsy. I had a Seborrheic Keratosis removed from left shoulder. It was large. The biopsy was not cancer.
Seborrheic keratosis (seb-o-REE-ik ker-uh-TOE-sis) is one of the most common noncancerous skin growths in older adults.
A seborrheic keratosis usually appears as a brown, black or light tan growth on the face, chest, shoulders or back. The growth has a waxy, scaly, slightly elevated appearance. Seborrheic keratoses don’t become cancerous and aren’t thought to be related to sun exposure, but they can look like skin cancer.
Seborrheic keratoses are normally painless and require no treatment. You may decide to have them removed if they become irritated by clothing or for cosmetic reasons. Mayo Clinic
I also had a lesion on top of my head. A biopsy of it came back as “Basal Cell Carcinoma.”
Basal cell carcinoma is a type of skin cancer. Basal cell carcinoma begins in the basal cells — a type of cell within the skin that produces new skin cells as old ones die off.
Basal cell carcinoma often appears as a slightly transparent bump on the skin, though it can take other forms. Basal cell carcinoma occurs most often on areas of the skin that are exposed to the sun, such as your head and neck.
Most basal cell carcinomas are thought to be caused by long-term exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation from sunlight. Avoiding the sun and using sunscreen may help protect against basal cell carcinoma. Mayo Clinic
My doctor is arranging for me to see a surgeon (Dermatologist).
Twenty minutes work this morning – JFK from a new sheet of stamps and his official protrait by Aaron Shikler – done after his death. Would love to set this loose and see it go viral. Any suggestions for the captioning – many other themes possile. I like the similar stance. I just bought the sheet of stamps and this art was on the side of the pane of Forever stamps then the Time magazine arrived today. The side by side images suggested themselves to me. OK – whaddya think?
I just heard from my doctor’s office. The lab results are back and the place on top of my head is a Basal cell carcinoma. They are going to get me an appointment with a Dermatology doctor in Fort Worth.
Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States. The two most common types are basal cell cancer and squamous cell cancer. They usually form on the head, face, neck, hands, and arms. Another type of skin cancer, melanoma, is more dangerous but less common.
Anyone can get skin cancer, but it is more common in people who
- Spend a lot of time in the sun or have been sunburned
- Have light-colored skin, hair, and eyes
- Have a family member with skin cancer
- Are over age 50
You should have your doctor check any suspicious skin markings and any changes in the way your skin looks. Treatment is more likely to work well when cancer is found early. If not treated, some types of skin cancer cells can spread to other tissues and organs. Treatments include surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, photodynamic therapy (PDT), and biologic therapy. PDT uses a drug and a type of laser light to kill cancer cells. Biologic therapy boosts your body’s own ability to fight cancer. ICD-List Diagnosis Code
I just wait now for the doctor’s office to inform me of my appointment date. I was told that it might be five or six weeks before my appointment.
President Trump’s budget would cut $1.3 billion from the U.S. Coast Guard!
The USCG has a budget of about $9 billion.
President Trump wants to take that USCG money and give it to the Department of Homeland Security. He wants to give that department a 6% increase and make their budget $43.8 billion.
President Trump talks about giving the “military” more money. President Trump talks about his love of and support of law enforcement.
The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is a branch of the United States Armed Forces and one of the country’s seven uniformed services. The Coast Guard is a maritime, military, multi-mission service unique among the U.S. military branches for having a maritime law enforcement mission (with jurisdiction in both domestic and international waters) and a federal regulatory agency mission as part of its mission set. It operates under the U.S. Department of Homeland Security during peacetime, and can be transferred to the U.S. Department of the Navy by the U.S. President at any time, or by the U.S. Congress during times of war.
The United States Coast Guard is a military and a law enforcement. We need to hold down military spending but I do not think we spend enough on the USCG.
I fear that cutting money from the USCG is going to affect their motto: Semper Paratus (Always Ready).
At last, I got a few hours of sleep. The cold has prevented me from getting any sleep for the last few days. I just got a few hours of sleep and it is 6 AM. Now that I am up .. I think I might be a little better.
My nose has been running non-stop for days. Plus I had other problems.
I attempted other say of sleeping ..none of them worked.
I been up for a few minutes and hope I am on the road to normal.
There are no OTC medications that someone with my medical conditions should take. Hilary did searching on the web and could not find anything for me to take.
I could not stand it any longer and asked her to go and get me Contact. She came home with Contac and Coricidin.
On March 1st I went to my doctor to have a biopsy done on a place on top of my head. I also had him remove a large thing on top of my shoulder. I will get the report on the biopsy in 4 or 5 days. The doctor said he is 95% sure it will come back as cancer.
The doctor had symptoms of a cold. I asked if had a cold. He said no.
Today I have a cold. I have a runny nose, scratchy throat, and a fever now.
So I looked up “How long does it take to get a cold from someone?”
You will typically begin to notice symptoms, such as a runny or stuffed-up nose, coughing or a scratchy throat about two or three days after you become infected with the virus that causes the common cold. Other symptoms of the common coldcan include: sneezing, a fever, headaches, watery eyes and fatigue.

“The lasting image from President Donald Trump’s first speech to Congress was that of widow Carryn Owens, crying as Trump honored her late husband, Navy SEAL William “Ryan” Owens, with an extended standing ovation.
Trump cast as a success the U.S. military raid of an al-Qaida affiliate complex in Yemen, despite Owens’ death.
“Ryan died as he lived, a warrior and a hero, battling against terrorism and securing our nation,” Trump said on Feb. 28. “I just spoke to our great General Mattis just now who reconfirmed that, and I quote, ‘Ryan was a part of a highly successful raid that generated large amounts of vital intelligence that will lead to many more victories in the future against our enemy.’ Ryan’s legacy is etched into eternity.”
The raid, which took place in central Yemen on Jan. 29, was Trump’s first counterterrorism operation after taking office. Administration and Defense Department officials have praised the operation for gathering intelligence from documents and electronic devices in the house, and for killing at least a dozen combatants including Abdulrauf al Dhahab, a leader of al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula.
But the event and its aftermath have been more controversial than Trump’s description let on.
Some lawmakers, pundits and news reports have criticized the raid — saidto be an intelligence-gathering operation — because it turned into a lengthy firefight that killed Owens and potentially dozens of civilians, wounded three American soldiers, and destroyed a $70 million helicopter. They have also questioned the quality of the intelligence gathered.
Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., called the operation “a failure” because the terrorists were allegedly tipped off in advance.”*

I love movies. I have never been a fan of the Oscar show.
I did not watch last night. I am sure you saw or heard what happened.
